Cover Letter for Moms Returning to the Workforce
Cover Letter for Moms Returning to the Workforce
Dear Sir:
This correspondence is to express my strong interest to pursue a Marketing position in your company.
I am Vanessa Vernon and I have over 8 years experience in media planning and promotions. I have a degree in Business Administration from State Colleges.
I have worked as a Marketing Specialist for PJLeeds Inc. for 5 years and over 3 years as Senior Marketing Officer for LifePlus Insurance.
My key competencies include:
• Being results-driven, self-motivated, pro-active with strong negotiation skills.
• I am customer-oriented and can interact and communicate with decision-makers.
• I have excellent selling skills with ability to produce results and a proven sales track record.
• I can handles projects from conceptualization, fabrication and delivery.
As you can see from my employment record, I have taken the last few years off to raise a family. During this period, I have done several contractual projects from home mainly creating promotional and marketing plans for pre-need companies. I was also hired freelance by my former employer LifePlus Insurance to handle the branding of their annual report. With these experiences, I was able to keep myself up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the Marketing industry.
To date, I am now ready to return to regular employment as my children are now at the age where they have started to enjoy school and the camaraderie of their age-group peers. I believe this is a good time for me to take a challenging role in the workforce such an opportunity would allow me to earn and save for my kid's future.
I would like to meet with you and further discuss my qualifications at a time that is convenient to you. Please contact me at 555-1000 or at workingmom@info.com
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
